The 2022 Postpartum Revolution will kick off in Peoria, Ill at the Peoria Riverfront Museum! This event is sponsored by the Illinois chapter of Postpartum Support International and will feature a day of spectacular events!
The day begins with a resource fair featuring some of central Illinois' best healthcare providers, mental health experts and local services. Come mix and mingle with some of Peoria's highly trained professionals providing care to new moms and families.
Shortly after getting tapped in with local resources, the event will transform with a screening of Angelina Spicer’s hilarious stand- up comedy special. This won't be the curated Instagram version of being a mama – it’s the truth, the pain, and the funny! Angelina takes the audience on a wild ride of her unexpected journey into motherhood. Spicer has always brought the laughter, but it wasn’t until she was committed to a psychiatric ward for postpartum depression that she realized her own story would be the ultimate punchline and catalyst for change.
After we laugh, we'll engage in a lively panel discussion featuring experts, birth workers, and leaders within the central Illinois chapter of PSI - all with the goal of connecting moms to care.
